Presently, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, is playing host to the Nigerian women’s football team, the Super Falcons, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. This meeting follows the team’s unfortunate exit from the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup, which is jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand. The Super Falcons were eliminated after a penalty shootout against the English team on Monday, August 7.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu has been actively engaging with Nigerian female sports figures to offer her support and encouragement. She recently convened a similar gathering with the triumphant Nigeria female basketball team, D’Tigresses. Through these meetings, the First Lady aims to uplift and motivate Nigerian women in sports, displaying her commitment to fostering a supportive environment for their achievements.
