Students celebrate Tinubu over assent to loan measure

The All-Africa Students’ Union has hailed President Bola Tinubu for signing the Students’ Loan Bill, saying the plan will be a major comfort to its Nigerian members and a model to others.

Speaking at a press conference to announce the 2023 African Students Day, AASU President, Osikenyi Osisiogu, said the Tinubu-led administration must promote more efficient and equitable use of public money by governments of Africa on education.

In the text of the press conference, which was made accessible to journalists in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital on Thursday, Osisiogu said the decision will help to generate substantial room for discovering new funding sources.
