Katsina, Nigeria — Muhammad Yakubu, a political science undergraduate at Al-Qualam University, has commenced a dedicated seven-day prayer marathon for Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Marking the fourth day of the prayers today, Yakubu revealed that the initiative is driven by “love, respect, and deep political admiration” for the vice president. He explained that the prayers are intended to seek Allah’s guidance and protection for Shettima, both personally and politically.
“This is the third day, and tomorrow, Monday (today), by Allah’s grace, we will continue these seven-day prayers monthly,” Yakubu declared.
Using the platform, Yakubu encouraged Nigerian youths to replace criticism of their leaders with prayers, describing prayer as “the believer’s foremost weapon.”
He lauded Shettima for his discipline and integrity, emphasizing that his decision to pray reflects both political loyalty and spiritual dedication.
