Hip-hop icons Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs have been accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in a lawsuit filed over an alleged incident dating back to September 2000. The lawsuit claims the assault took place during an after-party following the MTV Video Music Awards.
According to the updated complaint, Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, was initially referred to as “Celebrity A.” The filing also accuses him of attempting to counter the claims with a “frivolous” countersuit. Jay-Z has publicly criticized the lawyer leading the case, labeling him a “deplorable human” and calling for criminal charges instead of a civil case to ensure true justice for the alleged victims.
Combs, also known as Diddy, faces additional allegations, including charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Federal prosecutors accuse him of orchestrating drug-fueled sex parties and coercing women through threats and violence. Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges, with his criminal trial set to begin on May 5, 2025.
The allegations against Diddy have sparked a surge of legal action, with attorney Tony Buzbee stating in October that over 100 alleged victims were preparing lawsuits against him.
Both cases are expected to unfold in court, with prosecutors pursuing justice for the alleged victims.
