Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has highlighted the federal government’s high expectations for the new Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
During the decoration ceremony, Senator Akume noted that the role of Corps Marshal is critical for reducing road accidents in Nigeria. He urged the new Corps Marshal to leverage his extensive experience to enhance road safety.
“The FRSC was established to make life more meaningful and our roads safer,” Akume stated. He wished the new Corps Marshal success in his important and sensitive role.
Akume also praised the FRSC for its various initiatives aimed at reducing road traffic crashes and fatalities.
The ceremony was attended by top government officials, senior FRSC management, as well as friends and family of the new Corps Marshal.
Before his appointment, Shehu Mohammed served as the Zonal Commanding Officer (ZCO) for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Niger State.
