Seoul hosts large crowds as BTS fans celebrate 10-year anniversary

Fans from all over the world came in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, on Saturday to celebrate the boy band BTS’s tenth anniversary of their debut.
Two of the group’s seven members are now completing their necessary military service, putting BTS on a short hiatus, but that did not stop a number of celebratory events this week from being held for the band’s devoted “ARMY” fan base.

Tens of thousands of fans perused numerous exhibits at the “BTS 10th Anniversary FESTA” at Han River Park in Seoul on Saturday, including a BTS history wall, stage costumes, and commemorative sculptures, many of which were painted the band’s distinctive purple color.
In the midst of hit tunes, fans mingled or danced beneath leafy trees.
According to Audrey Lintner, a 28-year-old master’s student from Sri Lanka, “Through this event I think we can get experience (of) how we build up our connection with BTS and ARMY,” who was present at the event.

Later, at the celebration, BTS leader RM performed, read out fan comments, and took calls from members Jung Kook and V.
“Time passes by so quickly. Everything has changed, including how much I have changed. RM assured fans, “My love for you won’t change. On the 15th and 20th anniversaries, I’m not sure what I’m going to be doing with those feelings.
Local police estimate that roughly 150,000 people attended the fireworks display on the Han River, which served as the event’s grand finale.
Kim Hye-won, 30, a fan since 2018, stated, “Thank you so much for giving us great music and performances for the past 10 years.”
“I hope you as artists, singers, extend a lot of positive influence for a long, long time,” he said. “I’ll still be an ARMY for 10, 20, 30 years.”
