Search Engine “Google” launches AR beauty Ads

Google has launched AR Beauty ads in recognition of the potential of augmented reality (AR) as an effective advertising medium.

This is a new type of smartphone advertisement that enables brands to promote lip and eye products, with foundation soon to be added, through virtual try-on experiences.

Announcing this on its support platform, google maintained that instead of using a product image in a standard shopping ad, AR Beauty ads provide a tool that allows consumers to preview how different products would look on them or on a model that resonates with them.

This tool, according to google is accompanied by a product description, pricing information, and a simplified checkout process to streamline the purchasing experience.

AR Beauty ads will be displayed in the same mobile-specific channels as Google Shopping ads, including the Shopping tab on Google.com, Search, and Google Images.

Lilian Rincon, Senior Director of Consumer Shopping at Google said the initiative is a better way to capture demand.
