School grieves the loss of a 14-year-old British-Nigerian who was killed in London sword attack

Bancroft’s School in London is grieving the loss of 14-year-old British-Nigerian student, Daniel Anjorin, who tragically perished from injuries sustained in a sword attack. The United Kingdom Metropolitan Police provided particulars of the incident, which took place as Anjorin was journeying to school in Hainault. The suspect, a 36-year-old man, was apprehended on suspicion of murder.

In a declaration on their website, Bancroft’s School expressed profound shock and grief over the demise of Anjorin, emphasizing his commitment to academics and positive demeanor. The police delineated the unfolding of the violence, mentioning that the suspect smashed a van into a house fence before assailing multiple individuals, including Anjorin, who regrettably did not survive his injuries.

Despite prompt police intervention, the suspect caused severe harm to two police officers, who necessitated surgery, as well as injuring a woman. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak condemned the attack and lauded the emergency services for their response.
