Lagos, Nigeria — Rooboy has claimed the Head of House (HOH) title for Week Five of Big Brother Naija Season 10 after a tense challenge on Monday, dethroning Jason Jae, who had held the crown since Sunday.
The dramatic contest, which also featured Kuture, kept housemates on edge before Rooboy sealed his victory. As part of his privilege, Rooboy selected Zita as his house guest — a move seen as reciprocal, as Zita had chosen him during her reign last week.
The nail-biting challenge required Jason Jae, Kuture, and Rooboy to wear blindfolds and retrieve the HOH tag from a box containing live rabbits and birds. The twist sparked visible tension — Kuture nearly withdrew, while Jason Jae appeared terrified and considered quitting.
Fans are now watching closely to see how Rooboy will navigate the week, especially amid ongoing rivalries with housemates like Imisi. Jason Jae, who served as interim HOH, had earlier picked Koyin as his house guest, cementing his status as a strong contender alongside Doris.
The challenge followed a sack race-themed task earlier in the evening, shortly after the live eviction show that saw Victory and Gigi Jasmine exit the house.
