Remaining Kidnapped Confluence University Students Rescued

All kidnapped students from the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Kogi State, have been successfully rescued.

This information was disclosed in a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo.

Fanwo announced that the Kogi State Government secured the release of the remaining eight abducted students from CUSTECH, Osara.

The students were kidnapped on Thursday, May 9, 2024, when armed assailants invaded the university and abducted several students who were preparing for their upcoming examinations.

Three days later, the Kogi State Police Command reported that security operatives had rescued 14 students.

The Kogi State Government expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for mobilizing resources to ensure the safe rescue of the students.
