Jos, Nigeria — The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Plateau State Government over recent violent attacks, while declaring an end to the cycle of bloodshed.
The revered cleric made the statement during a courtesy visit to Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, at the New Government House in Little Rayfield, Jos
Describing the ongoing violence as “senseless and heart-wrenching,” Pastor Adeboye emphasized the Church’s concern for the persistent loss of innocent lives, assuring the state of RCCG’s continued prayers and spiritual support.
“We have not ceased in interceding for Plateau State,” he affirmed. “Our hope is anchored in God, and we believe this land will soon witness a new narrative of peace and healing.”
Adeboye stressed that divine intervention is critical, adding, “Though the flesh may fail, God never fails.”
He noted that he and his team were in Plateau for their annual retreat at the RCCG Camp in Heipang, Barkin-Ladi LGA, and felt compelled to visit the governor to offer prayers and encouragement.
Responding, Governor Mutfwang warmly welcomed Pastor Adeboye and expressed profound gratitude for the RCCG’s consistent spiritual intercession, noting the Church’s presence in the state reflects renewed hope.
The governor further appreciated the role of security agencies and their synergy with his administration in restoring calm to previously troubled areas.
“When voices are lifted in prayer, God listens. Thank you, sir, for your unwavering love and for standing with us,” Governor Mutfwang stated.
He hailed Pastor Adeboye’s long-standing commitment to the peace and progress of Plateau State and acknowledged the spiritual leadership that continues to inspire resilience among the people.
