Paris, Germany– Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Ukrainian international Illia Zabarnyi from Premier League side AFC Bournemouth, the French club confirmed on Tuesday.
In an official statement, PSG expressed their delight at the arrival of the 22-year-old centre-back, noting that Zabarnyi becomes the first Ukrainian to join the Parisian club in its history.
Zabarnyi enjoyed a standout 2024–25 campaign in England, and his addition is expected to strengthen PSG’s defensive options while intensifying competition for a starting role alongside club captain Marquinhos.
The transfer marks the third major defensive departure for Bournemouth this summer. The Cherries previously sold Milos Kerkez to Premier League champions Liverpool, while Dean Huijsen completed a move to Real Madrid.
