PSG Manager Luis Enrique Confident Despite Mbappe’s Departure

Paris Saint-Germain’s manager, Luis Enrique, remains optimistic about the team’s future, asserting that they will emerge stronger despite Kylian Mbappé’s imminent departure.

Mbappé confirmed his exit from the Ligue 1 champions on Friday, May 10, after a seven-year stint with the club.

Addressing the media on Saturday, May 11, Enrique acknowledged Mbappé’s decision to leave but emphasized that it does not dampen PSG’s spirits.

Enrique assured that PSG’s focus remains unwavering and expressed his belief in the team’s ability to thrive in the upcoming season post-Mbappé era.

“We have been aware of this for some time now, as has everyone else. It doesn’t alter our overall outlook. All decisions were made with the team’s best interests in mind,” he stated.

Despite the loss of their star forward, Enrique reaffirmed PSG’s commitment to their current goals, including the pursuit of the Coupe de France.

“While bidding farewell to Mbappé, Enrique lauded the player’s immense contributions to PSG both on and off the field.

“All I can offer are commendations for Kylian Mbappé as both a footballer and individual. I respect his decision. He has been an integral part of this club for seven years, contributing significantly. I wish him the best for his future endeavors,” Enrique expressed.

Enrique concluded by expressing his pride in having had Mbappé in the team, highlighting his leadership qualities and positive impact during his tenure.
