Paris, France — Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique says he holds deep tactical insight into Arsenal, expressing optimism ahead of their high-stakes UEFA Champions League semi-final faceoff.
The French champions are set to visit the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday for the first leg of the semi-final showdown against Arsenal, reigniting a rivalry last sparked in the group stage of the same tournament.
In their previous meeting, goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka handed the Gunners a 2-0 victory. Since then, Arsenal have shown dominance by dismantling reigning champions Real Madrid 5-1 on aggregate, while PSG edged past Aston Villa 5-3 over two legs.
Speaking to PSG TV and journalists during his media briefing ahead of their Ligue 1 fixture against OGC Nice, Enrique expressed readiness and familiarity with the Premier League side.
“I already know Arsenal perfectly,” the Spanish coach affirmed. “They’re a side I’ve followed closely this season, and we’ve already crossed paths.”
Enrique acknowledged both the strengths and limitations of his squad, emphasizing continuity and fan-driven motivation.
“The qualities that brought us here remain our strength, even though there’s room for improvement. Our fans have embraced our journey, and we aim to deliver a memorable performance,” he said.
With both clubs aiming for a coveted spot in the final, anticipation is building for what promises to be a thrilling European encounter.
