Scores of women and youth staged a vehement protest on Monday in Minna, the capital city of Niger State, decrying the exorbitant cost of living and the erratic power and water supply issues plaguing the region.
Commencing at approximately 7am, the demonstration caused a significant disruption, as impassioned protesters blockaded the vital Minna Bida Road, impeding the flow of vehicular traffic to and from the capital.
