President Bola Tinubu and his ministerial team will extend today’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting to finalize discussions on various outstanding issues.
The indication of the continuation was provided by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, during remarks made yesterday.
Commencing its session at noon yesterday, the council was unable to complete deliberations on the agenda items.
The last convening of the cabinet meeting took place on March 25, 2024.
Speaking to State House correspondents, Minister Idris revealed that under the leadership of President Tinubu, the two-day meeting is addressing several pivotal matters.
He stated, “Today’s FEC is not yet concluded. The council meeting will continue tomorrow,” emphasizing that “a lot of far-reaching decisions will be taken and it will be concluded tomorrow.”
The Federal Executive Council (FEC), commonly referred to as The Cabinet, constitutes the ministerial body of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and plays a vital role in the executive arm of the Nigerian government.
