The President of the Federal Republic of NIGERIA, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says his administration will invest heavily in infrastructure, health, education and all other critical areas to make life easy for citizens of the Country.
He made this statement In his first Democracy Day Presidential speech, he addressed the challenges faced by Nigerians in the aftermath of the removal of subsidy and assured the citizens that his administration would prioritize areas that would improve quality of life.
President Tinubu admonished Nigerians for patience as his government works to create a better Nigeria.
He however called all newly appointed public office holders to fulfill their campaign promises and strive to enhance the lives of the people.
The President retorted the importance of Nigerians dedicating themselves to the welfare of the country and restoring its rightful position among other nations.
Looking on the struggles, agitations alongside the sacrifices made by heroes to achieve democracy following the annulment of the June 12, 1993 elections, he called upon the citizens to protect the country’s democracy, which he regarded as the finest form of government globally.
The President was stern when he warned against any attempt to undermine or destroy Nigeria’s democracy saying it would not be tolerated, given the significant efforts made by countless individuals to establish it.
