Lagos, Nigeria — Nigerian street-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for intervention in his ongoing legal troubles in Ogun State.
The controversial singer made his plea in a widely circulated video, where he described himself as a “federal government liability” while seeking presidential assistance.
Expressing his frustration, Portable claimed he was being unfairly targeted and urged the president to intervene in his case.
“Help me, Baba Tinubu. I am your son, a federal government liability. They want to bring me down,” he lamented.
Although the specifics of his legal battle remain unclear, the singer has faced multiple run-ins with law enforcement in recent months, including previous arrests and public altercations.
His latest appeal has ignited mixed reactions across social media platforms. While some Nigerians criticized his approach, others expressed sympathy for his predicament.
The unfolding situation continues to draw public attention as observers await further developments on the singer’s legal standing.
