In one operation on October 8, a surveillance team from the Kasuwan Mata Police Division conducted a successful raid on a brothel in Zaria based on credible information. During the operation, a 35-year-old suspect named Adamu Yahaya was apprehended, and a locally fabricated pistol, live cartridge, and handcuffs were found in his possession. The suspect is currently in police custody undergoing interrogation.
On the same day, a patrol team from the Barnawa Division intercepted two suspects during a stop-and-search operation. The suspects, identified as Andrew Emmanuel and Mendwas Peter Bulus, were found with a service pistol, mobile phones, and suspected Indian hemp. They confessed to being armed robbers operating in Kaduna.
Additionally, on December 9, the police surveillance team observed three individuals behaving suspiciously along the Kano-Kaduna expressway and discovered live ammunition in their possession. The suspects were identified as Buhari Suleiman, Jamil Yakubu, and Aliyu Abdullahi. Further investigation revealed that one of the suspects had purchased ammunition previously.
Furthermore, on December 10, the police received intelligence about an imminent attack by suspected bandits in the Tudu Gishere area. Upon arrival at the scene, a gunfight ensued, resulting in the neutralization of one unidentified bandit while the others fled with injuries.
The Commissioner of Police in Kaduna, Ibrahim Abdullahi, commended the officers for their successful operations and urged the public to continue providing credible information to aid in the fight against crime in the state.
