Police arrest Rivers pastor over alleged homosexual acts

Rivers State – Detectives from the Octopus, C4i, Strike Force Unit of the Rivers State Police Command are investigating the General Overseer of a new-generation church in the Eagleland area of Diobu, Port Harcourt, over allegations of homosexuality.

The pastor, popularly known as Elijah, got into trouble after videos of him engaging in homosexual acts were leaked to the police by a man he allegedly made sexual advances toward.

A source in the area revealed that the whistleblower pretended to be the pastor’s lover in order to gather evidence.

He allegedly recorded a video of the cleric while he was engaged in romantic activities with another man and soliciting sex.

Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the Octopus Strike Force tracked the suspect to a relaxation spot in Port Harcourt, where he was arrested and taken into custody for questioning.

An insider disclosed that the General Overseer has reportedly confessed to multiple homosexual encounters involving both adult males and minors, within and outside Port Harcourt.

Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, Superintendent of Police Grace Iringe-Koko, stated that an investigation is ongoing.
