Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) from the Iddo Police Division of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command have arrested Nuhu Ezra, who was found in possession of human remains.
The arrest took place on July 9, 2024, around 9:00 pm in Gosa Kipikipi village, Lugbe, Abuja. Acting on credible intelligence, police found Ezra with a human skull and other bones.
FCT Police Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the arrest, stating, “Upon interrogation, the suspect claimed he found the remains while hunting in Kuje and intended to sell them for N600,000.”
FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, has ordered a thorough investigation to determine the origin of the body parts, identify the potential buyer, ascertain if the suspect committed murder to obtain the remains, and uncover how long Ezra has been involved in this activity.
