The Ebonyi State Police Command has arrested 15 persons allegedly spotted for shootings in parts of the State on Tuesday.
While comforming the arrest, the Commissioner of Police in Ebonyi, Faleye Olaleye said that an herbalists was apprehended too who was known to specialises in preparing charms for the suspects was also arrested.
He further said, some men had invaded some areas in Abakaliki shooting sporadically to enforce the sit-at-home order by pro-Biafra agitators
The Commissioner of police stressed that the suspects were arrested while planning to carry out another attack on the people of the state.
Gunmen had on Tuesday attacked some areas including Ishieke and Ukwuachi in Abakaliki dispersing traders to ensure compliance to a sit-at-home order by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
