The Kano State Police Command has debunked false information circulating on social media about the 15th Emir, Alhaji Aminu Bayero, leading Friday prayers at the Central Mosque.
According to Commissioner of Police Usaini Gumel, the Emir will be observing his Friday prayers at the mosque within the Nasarawa Palace where he currently resides. Emir Muhammad Sanusi II is expected to lead the Jummah prayers at the Emir’s Palace.
The police have assured residents that they should disregard the misinformation and false reports on social media and carry on with their activities without fear. The police, along with other state security agencies, will provide adequate security at the Emir’s Palace to ensure that residents can observe their Friday prayers peacefully without any threats to their safety or property.
Commissioner Gumel emphasized the importance of the public sharing credible information about suspicious individuals to enable prompt security measures in the state. The police are committed to maintaining peace and security in the region and ensuring the safety of all residents during religious gatherings.
