PDP Vows to Rescue Nigerians from APC Rule

Gusau, NigeriaThe Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum has called on Nigerians to embrace the party as the true alternative for restoring good governance and national progress, after its 7th meeting of 2025 in Gusau.

Senator Bala Mohammed, PDP Governors Forum Chairman and Bauchi State Governor, said the meeting extensively discussed insecurity, erosion of democratic values, national challenges, and preparations for the party’s upcoming national convention.

Mohammed reaffirmed the Forum’s commitment to delivering Nigeria from the divisive leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), whose policies, he alleged, have caused widespread suffering.

He praised PDP members’ resilience against orchestrated defections and insisted these efforts will not weaken the party’s grassroots appeal or public demand for affordable living and secure governance.

On security, the governors applauded the Zamfara government’s efforts but condemned ongoing violence in Katsina, Niger, Plateau, Benue, and other states.

They also denounced the militarization and irregularities of the August 9 bye-elections.

The Forum thanked Zamfara for hosting the meeting and expressed condolences to families of late traditional rulers in Gusau and Oyo.

They reiterated their full support for the PDP National Convention set for November 15, 2025.

The PDP continues to face challenges including defections and leadership disputes as the 2027 general elections approach.
