The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has formed a 152-member National Campaign Council for the upcoming Edo governorship election on September 16. The announcement was made by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in Abuja on Wednesday. Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa will lead the council, which will be inaugurated on June 11.
The National Working Committee is dedicated to securing victory for the party in the Edo election. Other members of the campaign council include Governors Kefas Agbu of Plateau and Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta as deputy chairmen, along with former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Vice Presidents Atiku Abubakar and Nnamadi Sambo, the Party Board of Trustees Chairman, Sen. Adolphus Wabara, PDP National Chairman Umar Damagun, and other governors from the PDP.
