The incident occurred shortly after takeoff late Friday. Fellow passengers intervened promptly to restrain the individual until the plane could safely land back in Lyon, according to French police reports.
EasyJet confirmed, “Flight EJU4429 from Lyon to Porto returned to Lyon shortly after takeoff due to the behaviour of a passenger onboard. Upon arrival, police removed the passenger, and the flight continued to Porto.”
