Osun, Nigeria — Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi-Ajagunla, representing Osun Central Senatorial District, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
His resignation, which marks another high-profile exit from the party in Osun State, is coming on the heels of an earlier report on resignation of Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi representing Osun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

Fadahunsi cited irreconcilable differences with the party’s leadership as the reason for his departure.
It was gathered that Fadeyi-Ajagunla resignation was disclosed in a personally signed letter, dated June 12, 2025, and tendered to the PDP chairman of Ward 3, Oke-Ejigbo, Ila-Orangun.
The letter reads, “I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my Membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect.
“Irreconcilable difference and irreparable division that have emerged and court cases and counter court cases in the last 3 years which has Created faction in the party at the National level.
“This was concluded after consultation and engagement with my political associates, family and friends.
“Thanking you in advance for accepting my resignation.
“Thank you.”
