The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in Okene, Kogi state, His Majesty, Dr Abdul Rahman Ado Ibrahim is dead.
The first class king died on Sunday aged 94.
According to a family member, the paramount ruler gave up the ghost around 2am at a hospital in Abuja.
The deceased assumed the traditional stool of Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in 1997 after the death of his predecessor, the former Ohinoyi, Sanni Omolori.
President Tinubu sends condolences
President Bola Tinubu has condoled the government and people of Kogi State on the passing of the traditional ruler.
In a statement signed by the spokesman of the president Ajuri Ngelale, Asiwaju Tinubu decribed the death of the Ohinoyi as “a painful loss”.
“May Almighty Allah grant His Majesty Aljannah Firdaus,” the President prayed.
