The commendation was delivered by OGIRS Director of Field Operations, Mrs. Oluwaseun Olajube, during a courtesy visit to the 12 million metric tonnes per annum cement facility in Ibese. According to a statement issued on Thursday, Olajube praised the company’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling its civic responsibilities, describing it as a benchmark for corporate responsibility and financial transparency in Ogun State.

She noted that Dangote Cement’s consistent compliance significantly contributes to the state’s revenue generation and economic development. “As an agency, we remain committed to deepening collaboration with key industrial players like Dangote Cement in a spirit of transparency, accountability, and mutual benefit,” Olajube said.

In response, the Plant Director of Dangote Cement Ibese, Mr. Ayyagari Subbaraidu, expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that the visit reflects a strong and evolving synergy between the public and private sectors. He reiterated the company’s commitment to compliance, accountability, and transparency in its dealings with government institutions.

“The recognition we receive is not just about figures but reflects leadership, integrity, and the impact of responsible corporate citizenship,” Subbaraidu said. He also emphasized that tax revenues are fundamental to economic development and the delivery of public infrastructure and services.

The visit, both parties noted, marks a significant milestone in enhancing government-business collaboration to drive sustainable development in Ogun State.

This recognition comes on the heels of a broader national acknowledgment of Dangote Industries Limited’s tax contributions.
