The Police Service Commission has approved the appointment of CP Olanrewaju Ogunlowo as the new Commissioner of Police for Ogun State.
CP Ogunlowo, who was previously serving in Kwara State, will now be taking over the position from CP Abiodun Alamutu, who has retired from the Nigeria Police Force.
The announcement of CP Ogunlowo’s appointment was made by Ikechukwu Ani, the Head of Press and Public Relations for the Police Service Commission.
The approval for the posting was communicated to the Inspector General of Police in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Commission, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani.
The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu, congratulated CP Ogunlowo on his new appointment and advised him to use his new position to ensure effective policing in Ogun State.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order, as well as taking measures to reduce crime and criminal activities in the state.
DIG Argungu also assured that the Commission would continue to support the police in their efforts to create a safe environment for all Nigerians.
