Nyesom Wike Acknowledges Past Misjudgments and Vows Correction against Fubara

FCT Minister , Chief Nyesom Wike, expressed regret over his endorsement of Sir Siminalayi Fubara as the gubernatorial candidate for Rivers State in the 2023 elections, emphasizing his intention to rectify this misjudgment in due course. Speaking during a grand civic reception honoring Senator George Sekibo in Ogu, headquarters of Ogu-Bolo local government area, Wike candidly admitted his fallibility and sought forgiveness from the people of the state and his political constituents.

Wike, while acknowledging his errors, assured attendees that the oversight regarding Fubara’s candidacy would be addressed at the appropriate time. He underscored the inevitability of human fallibility, urging understanding and forgiveness from all concerned parties.

Furthermore, Wike addressed recent developments within Governor Fubara’s camp regarding ongoing political tensions in the state. He reiterated his commitment to maintaining peace and implored his supporters to prioritize peace-building efforts, emphasizing the importance of adherence to legal processes.

In reflecting on his political journey, Wike commended the loyalty and dedication of his supporters, particularly highlighting the exemplary service of Senator George Sekibo.
