The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has returned equipment worth millions of naira to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Kano State High Court.
Speaking during the handover, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Abdullahi, revealed that the items were recovered after being stolen by hoodlums during a recent nationwide protest.
The recovered equipment includes two Cisco Switches valued at over N400 million, computers, air conditioners, executive chairs, doors and windows, a photocopy machine, and legal publications. Abdullahi noted that the NSCDC’s CNAI department successfully retrieved the items shortly after they were looted.
Mr. Aminu Suleiman Birnin Chido of the NCC Kano office, who received the items, praised the efforts of the NSCDC, commending their dedication and swift action in recovering the stolen assets.
The NSCDC, led by Commandant Mohammed Lawal Falala, reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding national assets and infrastructure in Kano State.
