Nigeria: The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is leveraging its close relationship with civilians to boost intelligence gathering and combat crime, according to Commandant General Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi.
Speaking at the inauguration of the NSCDC Divisional Office in Bwari and the renovated FCT Command Quarter Guard in Abuja, Dr. Audi highlighted the Corps’ operational structure, which enables officers to live among civilians and gather grassroots intelligence.
This approach fosters better public interaction and provides credible information to address security challenges. Dr. Audi emphasized the importance of collaboration with other security agencies, urging officers to avoid inter-agency rivalry and maintain professionalism at all times.
