NPFL faces setback as postponement hits again

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has experienced another postponement in its kickoff date for the 2023/24 season.

Originally scheduled to start on September 9, the league board announced a shift in the commencement date.

The reason cited for this postponement is to allow members to focus on the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), taking place in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. This marks the second alteration in the start date, as the season was initially planned to begin on August 26, 2023, before being rescheduled to September 9, which has now also been delayed.
