The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has arrested 61 illegal migrants in Ogun State.
The illegal migrants which consist 60 Cameroonians and a Burkinabe were arrested at the Ibafo and Sagamu areas of Ogun State.
Addressing newsmen, the State’s NIS Comptroller, Olufunmilayo Olayemisi said 51 other persons were arrested in connection to the case.
According to Olayemisi, the NIS arrested 51 other persons.
While parading the suspected illegal immigrants, the NIS Comptroller said the suspects were without valid travel documents thereby constituting threats to national security.
Comptroller Olayemisi added that the arrested suspects would be repatriated to their countries of origin.
