The Federal Government of Nigeria has highlighted the positive impact of the existing cordial relationship between Nigeria and Germany on sustainable economic development. During a visit by the German Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development, Ms. Svenja Schulze, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning emphasized that the priority areas of support from Germany align well with Nigeria’s National Development Plan (NDP) for 2021-2025. These priority areas include sustainable economic development, training and employment, agric-food system transformation, climate and energy, as well as peace-building and conflict prevention. The German Minister praised Nigeria’s efforts in maintaining bilateral relations and assured continued support from Germany in various areas.
