The Headquarters 9 Brigade of the Nigerian Army organized a vibrant end-of-year funfair for children and families within the Ikeja Cantonment, Lagos, spreading joy during the festive season.
The event, themed “Ikeja Cantonment End-of-Year Funfair,” aimed to strengthen community bonds among military personnel and their families. With over 2,500 children in attendance, the celebration offered various activities designed to create lasting memories.
Speaking at the event, Brigadier General Olawale Matthew Oyekola, Commander of the 9 Brigade, expressed his delight at the impressive turnout. He highlighted the significance of fostering happiness among children during the yuletide season and praised parents for their dedication to raising responsible future leaders.
The funfair featured exciting performances by BOYSARM, engaging games, competitions, food, drinks, and group photographs. The children also serenaded Brigadier General Oyekola with heartfelt songs, expressing their gratitude for the memorable celebration.
