Nigeria: Nigeria has been selected to host the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF), a prestigious global gathering of public relations and strategic communication thought leaders
This milestone achievement was announced during a courtesy visit by the President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku, to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on March 6, 2025.
Minister Idris congratulated NIPR on securing the hosting rights, emphasizing the significance of the WPRF in promoting public relations and strategic communication. He noted that Nigeria’s selection as the host country aligns with the government’s commitment to enhancing the country’s global reputation. The Minister assured full government support to ensure the event’s success, highlighting Nigeria’s growing global influence and creditability
The 2026 WPRF will be a significant opportunity for Nigeria to showcase its expertise in public relations and strategic communication, with Dr. Neliaku announcing that the country will also host the Global Alliance’s 25th Anniversary celebration in 2026. Other major activities lined up for 2025 include the Nigerian Public Relations Week, the National Spokespersons Summit, and the National Reputation Management Group Summit.
