Nigeria Sends Medical Volunteers to Sierra Leone

The Federal Government has dispatched 18 medical professionals to Sierra Leone as part of a volunteer initiative.

During a pre-departure orientation in Abuja, Dr. Yusuf Buba-Yakub, Director General of the Nigeria Technical Aid Corps, addressed the volunteers, urging them to represent Nigeria with distinction. highrevenuenetwork.com/9e9a5ee8183bdc3f8ca0807126145712/invoke.js

He highlighted that Nigeria, as a leading nation, has utilized its soft power diplomacy by deploying its expertise across Africa, the Pacific, and the Caribbean for the past 37 years.

Dr. Buba-Yakub emphasized that these efforts have enhanced Nigeria’s standing in the international community.



Among the volunteers, nurse anesthetist Benham Batari and medical doctor Ukoma Nnoma expressed their dedication to being exemplary ambassadors for Nigeria while providing their services in Sierra Leone.

The 18 volunteers were chosen from various medical fields.
