Nigeria :Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has reiterated the country’s dedication to advancing financial inclusion, education, and leadership opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
This commitment was reaffirmed during a meeting with representatives from Wane Global, CS Strategies, and TAI Corp on the sidelines of the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) in New York.
The Minister emphasized that ongoing financial and policy reforms will enhance investment in women-led businesses, improve access to credit, and equip women entrepreneurs with the necessary skills to thrive in competitive markets. She also highlighted the importance of fostering strategic partnerships to accelerate women’s economic empowerment in Nigeria. The government’s focus is on enhancing access to finance, expanding education and training opportunities, and strengthening gender equality policies to create an enabling environment for women entrepreneurs.
The representatives from Wane Global, CS Strategies, and TAI Corp commended Nigeria’s efforts in prioritizing gender-responsive economic policies and pledged support for initiatives aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs. These initiatives include capacity-building programs, mentorship, and financial instruments tailored for women-led enterprises.
