Nigeria Is a Complex Nation to Govern—Buhari

Katsina, Nigeria  —  Former President Muhammadu Buhari has emphasized the complexity of governing Nigeria, while highlighting his integrity during his time in office.

Speaking at an All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus meeting held at the Presidential Banquet Hall in Katsina State, Buhari urged leaders to prioritize transparency and accountability as core values.

The former president noted that many Nigerians are unaware of the intricate challenges that come with governance, which often leads to unfair criticism of those in leadership.

“Nigeria is a difficult country to govern, but most Nigerians are unaware,” Buhari said. “You will never fully understand the complexities of leadership until you find yourself in an administrative position.”

Reflecting on his tenure, Buhari expressed satisfaction with his current state of health and appearance.

“I look much better and healthier now than when I was president. People often tell me I look better these days,” he remarked.

Addressing his modest lifestyle, the former president disclosed details about his personal assets, stressing his non-materialistic approach to leadership.

“After eight years as a civilian president, I own only three houses, one in Daura and two in Kaduna. I’ve rented one out, and that’s where I get money for feeding,” he revealed.

Buhari’s remarks have sparked conversations about the complexities of governance and the value of integrity in public office.
