President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his capacity as Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has convened another Extraordinary Summit of the Authority on the political situation in the Republic of Niger.
A statement by the ECOWAS commission in Abuja on Monday indicated that the Summit would hold in Abuja, on Thursday, August 10.
The ECOWAS had in its last meeting given the Niger juntas until Sunday, August 6, to reinstate President Mohamed Bazoum. It also sent delegates which Niger rejected
