The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, will pay the new Super Eagles head coach from its own purse, it has been revealed.
According to a report , the Federal Government has made it very clear to the NFF it won’t pay the salaries of the new coach.
“The Federal Government will not pay the new coach of the Super Eagles, that’s the responsibility of the NFF,” one top official said.
“This position will therefore go a long way in determining who is eventually hired to lead the Super Eagles.”
The NFF is yet to appoint a substantive head coach for the Super Eagles.
Three coaches, Emmanuel Amuneke, Domenec Torrent and Antonio Conceicao are reportedly in the running for the position.
Sports Minister, John Enoh revealed last week that a new coach will be appointed for the Super Eagles in the next two weeks.
