Abuja, Nigeria — The Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has once again cautioned students and the general public against fraudulent websites falsely claiming to facilitate student loan applications.
The agency raised the alarm over a misleading message circulating online, which falsely states that the NELFUND Student Loan registration portal is open and includes an unauthorized application link.
Speaking on the matter, Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, Director of Strategic Communications at NELFUND, clarified that the only legitimate platform for student loan applications and updates remains www.nelf.gov.ng.
“We completely disassociate NELFUND from this false information and strongly advise students to be cautious of such scams,” she stated.
She further urged students and the public to ignore any unofficial links or messages requesting personal information or guaranteeing loan disbursement outside the verified NELFUND platform.
For authentic updates, Oluwatuyi advised students to rely solely on the official NELFUND website and its verified social media channels.
