Over 180,000 residents of Nasarawa State have been enrolled in the state health insurance scheme.
Acting Executive Secretary of the state health insurance agency, Dr Simon Istifanus, who made this known at a media training in Lafia, said the agency’s target is to enrol about 20% of the population by 2027, compared to the 6.3% so far enrolled.
Dr Simon Istifanus urged the media to champion sensitising people, particularly the grassroots, on the benefits of the insurance scheme to achieve universal health coverage.
