Nasarawa police deploy 4,000 officers for Eid-el-Fitr

Nasarawa state, Nigeria:  The Nasarawa State Police Command has mobilized a large contingent of 4,000 personnel, including undercover operatives, to ensure public safety during the upcoming Eid-el-Fitr celebrations

This deployment covers all 13 local government areas in the state.

To guarantee a secure environment, the police will strengthen security measures at prayer grounds and recreational centers. Commissioner of Police Shettima Jauro has ordered the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit to conduct thorough sweeps of all Eid grounds before prayers. Additionally, traffic wardens will be positioned along major roads to facilitate smooth traffic flow, while tactical teams will conduct highway patrols to enhance traveler safety. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies for immediate action.
