Speaking at a press briefing in Lafia, Peter Ahemba, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Affairs, emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering confidence among diverse communities through tolerance, forgiveness, and unity. This initiative aims to create a stable environment conducive to economic growth and development. Additionally, Ahemba urged traditional rulers, community leaders, and religious figures to establish platforms for continuous engagement with the people, promoting lawful conflict resolution and cautioning against violence. The government also reaffirmed its focus on governance, dismissing speculation about the 2027 governorship election and reiterating the ban on electioneering campaigns.
