The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has forged partnerships with several airlines to facilitate the transportation of Nigerian pilgrims embarking on the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage.
Addressing stakeholders at the Hajj House in Abuja, NAHCON Chairman, Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi, emphasized the paramount importance of prioritizing the security and welfare of the pilgrims by the participating airlines.
Malam Arabi stressed the high expectations for airlines, drawing on their past involvement in Hajj operations, urging them to execute their responsibilities diligently and professionally.
In a statement, Alhaji Anofi Elegushi, the NAHCON Commissioner in charge of Operations, expressed optimism that the agreements would enhance the overall pilgrimage experience for the participants.
Furthermore, the Director of Aedrome and Airspace Standard at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), provided assurances of a seamless Hajj operation.
Max Air and Air Peace have already inked the agreements, while Flynas is slated to finalize its agreement later today.
Meanwhile, NAHCON Chairman, Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi, is expected to disclose the total number of pilgrims participating in this year’s Hajj pilgrimage later today.
