Hazel Oyeze Onou, widely known as Whitemoney and winner of Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition, has asserted that his personal funds, rather than fan support, propelled him far in the All Stars edition of the reality show.
In a recent conversation with YouTuber Olufemi Daniel, the singer revealed that he wasn’t surprised by his eventual eviction because he knew he wouldn’t win. Whitemoney disclosed that he had provided his team with money to vote for him before participating in the show.
He emphasized that his financial contribution was the primary factor in his progress on the show, stating that he received only two percent of fans’ votes.
“I wasn’t shocked [when I got evicted] because I knew I wouldn’t win. I was the one who gave money to my team to keep subscribing. My money took me that far. People’s voting was just two percent, my money took me that far,” Whitemoney stated.
