The Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy has unveiled its roadmap to boosting the sector’s revenue to the nation’s economy to 10 per cent.
According to the principal adviser to the Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative, Mr Faiz Imam, who spoke to Arise TV, the ministry is deploying the South Korea’s model/strategy in the promotion of Hallyu (Korean Wave contents), in addition to the adopting the Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, 3MTT’s to smoothen overlaps between the two ministries and the Ministry of Tourism, in order to prevent wastage of both resources and time.
On ensuring effectiveness of moribund or non-functioning Nigerian art agencies and commissions, Imam said the ministry will carry out exercises of the agencies and commissions to determine their effectiveness or defects, before investing in them to ensure their delivery on their various mandates.
